It depends if you have the necessary voltage available. In my case I needed a 60 amp breaker to handle the 48 amp load. So that did require a bit more than general hookup. Depending on your available load will also determine your necessary breaker. It says in the instructions it can use two types but the latter and higher output is what I opted for. Which equates to faster charging. I can’t say time difference but anything is bette me than trying to use a regular 110 outlet.
