• Not sure but if you had geek squad warranty on it you would be able to receive a new one, but if you don't you can always take it to best buy and ask geek squad representative to take a look at it for you from there you'll know what to do.

• so far it's working properly, even though I dropped it couple of times from table, no breakage. I've no idea about expose to water.
