This set comes in a cardboard sleeve box with individual black blu-ray cases containing 2 blu-ray movie discs, 2 DVD Appendices discs and a Behind the scenes DVD for each movie. The Appendices and Behind the scenes discs are the same ones in the individually boxed DVD versions of the extended editions. To my knowledge this has been the only packaging for the blu-ray set, other than the initial blu-ray release box that came with an included replica of the One Ring.
