• Why wouldn't it be compatible? They are independent units that are not connected. The answer appears to be based on increasing sales revenue. Details on "why" it's not compatible, please.

• Hello Bert, thank you for your interest in model PCG366W. A new cooktop would not be compatible with an older downdraft. The downdraft would have to be replaced as well.
