• My fan, I matched up the square diameter, and that was it. The connector is simply unplug/plug in. Easy enough for a non tech guy like me to do it. Still only took 30-45 minutes, mainly I lack confidence. I tell my kids, if your working on something new, and doesn't go easy, don't force it, there may be a reason why. Same holds true here, don't force it, align male and female (not sexist) it should go easy. I recommend removing old one, and bring it in with you. If you're a tech idiot like me, take pics or video if needed. No one will know but you. I didn't do it, and still got it.

• I did not measure it when I put it in but I would say it is about a foot long. It is more then adequate to reach a motherboard even if you redirect the cable around something to ease air flow.
