    Silent, but deadly.

I subscribe to the same school of thought with my computers as many Victorian aristocrats did regarding children; They should be seen, but not heard. The Riing is a high static-pressure fan with a very nicely balanced motor and blades, rubber isolators at each corner on each side, and according to Thermaltake, a special blade design that's supposed to reduce vibration without adversely affecting airflow. I'm not sure about the blade design, it looks pretty bog-standard, but I'm definitely a fan of the motor design and the shock mounting on the corners. The acrylic band around the center of the unit creates a super cool 1980's cyberpunk look that is distinctive, but only a little bit obnoxious, unlike the fully acrylic fans that have LEDs set right into the corners and the whole thing glows blue. The only regret I have is that I'm out of places to stick more of these cool-looking fans. The ones I have right now do a more than adequate job of ventilating my case, but they do look pretty slick. Pros - -Excellent aesthetic -Very good noise control -Multiple 12v options -Pretty decent cost -Sheathed cables look very clean, slightly tacky for good cable management -Not visible from space; lights not bright enough to give me skin cancer if I sit on the left side of my computer too long. Cons - -No PWM. Voltage control necessary for manual speed control. When active, unfortunately this reduces light intensity at lower speeds. This makes me sad. Side effect is that it makes the computer look like it's breathing, if you set a bad fan speed hysteresis, which is slightly amusing at least. My old radiator fans were, decidedly, failing. They kept getting louder and louder, so I finally decided to replace them. I ended up at my local Best Buy, and got two of these fans. When I picked them up off the shelf, I immediately knew there would be a difference, as these fans were heavier, more sturdy construction. I got them home, popped open the computer case, and the installation took minutes before I was back in action. Now, I spend a lot of time at my computer, but often have the television playing. I have always had to adjust my TV volume when using the computer. Even before my old fans started to decline, I didn't realize just how loud they actually were. Then I got the Thermaltake fans. They are so quiet! I no longer have to adjust the volume of the TV when I am using the computer. I would really recommend these to anyone wanting, or needing, to replace their original fans.

I purchased this fan on sale for around $14. Normally I order generic 120mm fans from Newegg in 4 packs. The project required a little more pizzazz and better cooling performance as it was a clients new gaming pc. The white led’s are really nice looking and not overly bright. As is the fan is not loud, the included “quiet” mode cord is silly and just means you don’t get access to the fans full cooling potential. It’s a pwm 4 pin header so using any fan control software will allow you to regulate the fan/fans speeds directly. If you only need a few fans for a project these single packs are worth the price when on sale. For full single fan price I’d recommend looking into 2/3 packs of Corsair/Noctua/Be quite etc in store and online.

I bought this fan because I heard positive things about Thermaltake and wasn't disappointed. These fans have it all, cushions on the corners to reduce noise, high-quality plastic/velvet components, long braided cables, high pressure fans, and great LED. Pros: + High-quality materials + Quiet + High static air pressure (even on low power usage) + Unique LED design (Their LED light is patented meaning no other brand can imitate this exclusive ring-like design) + LED bright but not blinding (Important for those who want to admire their work without burning a hole through their retinas) + Braided cables (Looks great inside transparent computers) + Very easy to install + Same price as other fans that boast only a portion of the features provided by this all-in-one fan. Cons: - They weren't on sale. I only had enough to buy a 140mm and two 120mm at the time :(

What a little gem this case fan is!!!! For the past few weeks I've been hearing squealing sounds coming from my PC build! My dad had just modded a previously purchased White LED Thermaltake case fan to my CPU Cooler fan but the noise continued. We then found out that another fan above the cooler was failing (I could actually see the modded Case fan's LED lights) so I went out and purchased this fan and installed it this morning. The fan is very easy to install and I appreciate the fact that it comes with additional cabling so you can decide on if you want the fan to be powered by the motherboard or the Power Supply. This fan is super inexpensive and LED lighting isn't super-bright-like-the-sun compared to Corsair's case fan. Also, its super quiet, which is I appreciate as it doesn't disturb me or my family.

If memory serves me well, the "white" model cost more than its counterparts in other colors. I didn't want to buy another because I already had two white light fans (different brand). So far, I can't complaint. It is quiet, and just as good as the other (supposedly better) brand. I can't remember exactly what I paid for, but it appears that they are a bit cheaper (around $3 less) now than when I bought them. Of course, you can always buy a cheaper fan. If you don't care about the light, you can buy yourself a $5 fan. But my experience with those cheaper fans has been terrible. Those noisy fans tend to draw more current and run slower (i.e. the stock Corsair fans that came with my computer case).

I replaced the sidefans of my PC with these and they worked even better than those fans. They looked better (the led is in a strip around the fan), so it's evenly bright and very distinct. The fan itself has noise-buffering pads where the screws go, but my PC has noise-reduction inserts instead of screws. I don't now if it's the fans, the inserts, or both, but the overall noise from the fans are really silent, virtually gone from where my PC and mic are from one another (Tower under desk, mic on top of desk, about a foot from one another). My last fans were quiet but I could hear an obvious whirr from them. These fans, I'd say, are worth it. I just wished that my best buy had more colour variety (though they did have the colour I wanted).

I absolutely love the Riing series fans from Thermaltake. I originally purchased a white one from Best Buy as an emergency replacement. I was greatly surprised at the design and look of this fan once installed. Sturdy construction, braided cable with molex power adapter and the "quiet cable" or whatever it is. I originally installed the fan with the quite cable attached, knowing only that it was supposed to limit the RPM of the fan, to keep it quite when on. Welp, idk if it is my motherboard or what but, with the quite cable connected, the LED light on the fan would come on but the fan would not spin. Took the quite cable off and the fan works beautifully. I loved the look of the fan so much that I decided to order a second one to replace the stock blue LED fan that came with my case.

One of my cooling fans needed to be replaced and I decided to try this one. I love it; it is quiet and works well at keeping my PC tower cool and I love the blue LED color. It was easy to replace/install and I am not an overly technical person (I looked up a couple of YouTube videos on how to replace the fan). Keep in mind this one doesn't have the arrows to depict the direction of the flow of air (at least I didn't see it), but it was still easy to tell which direction it would blow, as the placement of the motor/wiring made it easy to tell (the side with the motor and the visible wiring going along that side is where the intake is, as in the air is sucked through from that side).

I've been a fan of Thermaltake products for some time now. My main rig uses a Thermaltake V-31 Gaming Case, so it's no surprise that I like their fans. (no fanboy jokes, please!). The stock fans on my Cyberpower computer are too loud for my tastes and the beauty of the Thermaltake is that they come with a cable that can be inserted between the power supply and the fan cables that reduces the voltage send to the fan which then lowers the fan speed and noise. It works like a charm. My only caution would be if your computer is already running hot (mine wasn't) then you might not want to lower your fan speed and increase possible thermal problems. However, even at regular speed this fan is quieter than the cheapos that Cyberpower uses, so I can recommend it without reservations.

I have bought three of these fans for my recent build. All of them mounter as exhaust (2 top 1 rear mounted). The blue leds are nice without being overpoweringly bright. They do a very good job at keeping components cool while being very quiet. Some people may not get these fans purely because they are blue LEDs only and are not programmable RGBs which is the big trend for custom PC building lately. These are a great choice if you want fans that move a lot of air without being very loud and you maybe have a blue only color scheme for your computer.

These are great case fans! I only chose these and not the RGB kind, because I want to have the same LED color as my CPU Cooler and my GPU LED (In this case, blue) and it's pretty cheap for the features included. Pros: Colors and aesthetic are nice! Pretty Silent. Though I can only hear my GPU Fans spinning. Cons: It'll get loud when I take off my MasterBox Q300L magnetic dust filters, particularly the front intake.

I reviewed the 3-set Thermaltake fans with nothing but great things to say, and I pass on the same great things to say to this one. The blue ring illumination is so beautiful in a case that you just won't be able to help but ogle at your PC; it looks very stylish, expressive, and sleek. The cooling performance is great, as there is very little noise and resistance, and the speeds go up to 1500 RPM. The rubber spacers on the edges also allow secure and cushioned mounting which further eliminate vibrations. For $15 a fan, I have to say this is a great upgrade to many others.

Very happy with this fan so far. I've had it installed for a little over a week and haven't noticed any increased sound from my case and it has made a great impact on my temps. I have this installed on the side panel which happens to be plexiglass so I can also enjoy the blue light it gives off. It's bright enough to be a nice added touch but not so bright it's distracting. I'm using it to pull air in toward the GPU and it averages 20 degrees lower temps since install. Would definitely recommend and will likely purchase another to replace my back exhaust fan!

I had the back case fan fail, the heat also took out my boot drive, I replaced both at the same time. This fan seems to move a bit more air then the old one did, in all fairness though, it was a case fan salvaged from an old Dell machine, and I did get around a decade of use out of it. I tend to transplant my upgrades into my old case. Generally I don't like the looks of the newer stuff. As a nice bonus the LED ring lights up the inside of my old tower really nice. There are 2 other fans in hidden corners of this case, and the temperature inside dropped almost 15 degrees just by replacing the 1 burned out fan with this unit.

I bought this fan in store looking for additional fans for my case. I couldn't decide until a worker talked to me about it. Compared to the other one on the shelf which looked like a stock fan. This particular fan was few extra dollars but for the design and rpm it has was worth it. The blue led is nice and bright, along with this fan can put out some serious air flow. I only put in two and made a huge difference. They aren't very loud, but not the quietest either. Between 1-5 of how loud, I'd say it's a 3. It does come with sound dampening wire but I have yet to try them so could probably be quieter. Love this fan though

This is a pretty good fan, I'm actually using this as a kluge to keep my wife's video card running cool, her NVIDIA 1050's fan started making a bunch of noise, so I got this thing, took off the factory fan, and zip tied this on as a temporary fix. End result, the card is running much cooler than it was with the stock fan, despite being a kluge fix. I'd definitely recommend this fan for being quiet, and moving a ton of air.

I have bought five of these and loving them as they are keeping my pc gaming rig cool. I installed these myself and it was very easy. though I wish the fans themselves would also be lit up as well, the blue led is kind of bright. but they are serving their propose. if my rig had more areas for more fans I would buy more blue led ones.

These fans are fairly attractive and push a decent amount of air. I'm using these as both radiator & case fans, and they work fine for my setup. There are quieter fans, and there are more efficient ones, but you also pay for that. I can't say whether or not those fans would be best for someone else's needs, but I can say that a 1 or 2 degree or decibel decrease doesn't justify spending $5-10 more per fan.I do a lot of computer building and I like water cooled systems. This fan not only will work well in that application but the color LED adds a nice lighting effect to your computer builds
