• No there is no built in battery, I dont know if any of them have a built in battery. Best Buy Geek Squad installed it for me connected the camera to the car electroical system

• Hello, all of our dashcams doesn't have a built-in battery. It's either powered by a hardwiring cable, OBD II power cable and or a 12V power cable.
