Hi there, All Thinkware dash cams have a built-in voltmeter and timer to prevent car battery drainage. The dash cam monitors the car battery voltage level using the built-in voltmeter and shuts itself down if the detected voltage level is below the customizable voltage threshold. The timer works similarly, where the dash cam shuts itself down after a predetermined time period in Parking Mode. Both these features can be found in the "Record Settings". Hopefully this answered your question! Please let us know if you have other questions by phone (1-844-865-9273) or email ([email protected]). Thinkware Customer Support

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I actually don't run it in parking mode but my buddy is mechanic who installed it said: its not gonna run the battery down in park mode. just make sure don't run it over night.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can change the settings on your phone once you download the think ware app. So that once your battery runs down to a certain video lathe, the camera will shut off so that you can still start your vehicle.
