Hi Ralph, If you do not want to power the dash cam via the cigarette lighter, you may also hardwire the dash cam to your vehicle's fuse box with our additional accessory, the hardwiring cable (TW-SH). The latter option also enables parking mode surveillance while your vehicle is turned off.
