No. As long as you are cleaning it out each time, I haven’t had that problem.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Try emptying the dirty water right after every use. There's been times i forget and it's done that where it smells. I clean it with vinegar and dish soap and the smell goes away. This only happens to mine when i leave the dirty water over night.
