You are suppose to change the distance to match what is displayed on the treadmill.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The calibration is only in Treadmill mode. Because treadmill mode uses the internal accelerometer it is not completely accurate so it gives you the option to calibrate it to the distance on the treadmill. You don't have to do this if you don't want to, some treadmills are not very accurate either, it's just an option. Please try again later.I don't have this particular one, but from what I've read in researching different monitors/pedometers, I think it means to enter your exact distance (if you know it based on a map, or GPS) then it will calibrate your stride length so that it'll be more accurate in the future, I believe...not sure if that's the right answer, but just a thought!
