Hey Brian! The TomTom does support off road trails, but the coverage is limited. We fully support main roads. If you have any further questions, give us a shout! .http://bit.ly/2lMrMme or by phone 877-757-7137 Monday - Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Based on my experience with the TomTom Rider so far, it seems to me like off road is not fully supported. I have tried to load some gpx tracks with fire roads that were recorded on a friend's older Garmin device. Even though I was able to import the files on the TomTom, I haven't been able to get it to load and map all of those routes. The routes without off road tracks seem to load and map fine though. I have been able to get the TomTom to record new tracks on a couple short off road routes of my own, and I can view those routes sucessfully at a later time with other gpx file viewers. But like with the gpx files with fire roads from my friend, I haven't been able to re-load those off road routes on the TomTom and follow them again later.
