Regarding your Toshiba TV question: The cable in my area has not gone to full digital, which means that i can still screw the cable into the TV, search for channels, and receive many HD channels without a box. The local channels still come non-HD but also come in full HD on an alternate channel. For example if a local channel normally comes on channel 13, the HD channel comes in on 13-1 after performing a scan. Some channels in my area will not come in HD such as HGTV, or the Food network, but they are watchable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later..yes. .I would recommend using an hdmi cable for best picture.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it should be excellent.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you hook it up via coax you will get funny small picture with a 3 or 4 inch border all the way around. But then I didn't fiddle with pic size or mode. When I bought my first hd tv Best Buy sent me home with with new hd box/ dvr and hdmi cable which was an extra dollar a month. I guess you could get hd content with a PlayStation or Xbox and hdmi cable. No point in having hd tv without hd content.
