I connectted to my antenna without a converter box. I don't believe there is an inbuilt antenna, you have to purchase it. You don't need a converter with this tv.

This TV does not have a built in antenna. You could connect it to a converter box, however the TV does have a built in digital tuner so that is not necessary. If you live close to your TV stations a simple indoor antenna will suffice. If you live in a rural area, you will likely need an outdoor antenna.
