• Yes I have a dual VCR/DVD combo. We still used cables that we had bought with it years ago. Great picture.

• Yes, I'm also using an older DVD player with this TV that only hooks up through A/V cables. It's very easy to set it up and I have an awesome picture from the DVD player.
