“Can’t get cable to work. No problem with FireTV setup. Set up with cable company remote per instructions. Used code and can turn on & off with cable remote but nothing else works. When I access input on FireTV, it says no signal for HDMI 1, 2, and 3.”

I did purchase a different cable and that worked! But, now my question is, when I turn on the TV, it opens to the streaming and I can hit input to switch to HDMI1 for cable stations. But, if I try to switch back to Amazon Fire, it shows No Signal for HDMI2 and HDMI3. The only way I can get there is to shut off the TV on the cable remote and turn it back on with the TV-supplied remote. Is there any way to switch between the two without shutting the TV off?
