No apps on tv the only feature I find annoying besides not being able to enter channel numbers
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, sort of. If the content is 4k, then you will get 4k (2160p) on the TV. The TV resolution will automatically switch to whatever content is being streamed. So if you cast a nature/scenery video from Youtube which was shot in 4k, then it will show in 4k on this TV. In your Youtube app, type in "4k" in the search field and it will bring up a bunch of stunning 4k demo videos. Just be sure your phone is on wifi. I think you can also stream wifi to the TV using Youtube.com in you Google Chrome browser with the Cast extension installed. Trying it now but it's still showing the "buffering wheel". There it goes. Takes a while, and it starts in 1080p but eventually scales up to 2160p. So yes it works. Netflix 4k content also streams in 4k on this TV (but your account has to be upgraded to allow 4k content). As Google and Amazon don't play nice together, Amazon Video won't cast to Google Chromecast at all, so no way to test their 4k content.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This product has Chromecast built in. It has 4K video and apps.
