“Is the Echo already in the box? Or were you supposed to be given that once the tv was scanned. Because the Sling is on my receipt but the Echo is not.”

This happened to me. They were supposed to give you an Echo dot in its own package. I went back to the store I purchased mine from with the receipt and they gave me a Dot as per the advertised sale.

Notice that you didn’t receive a conventional Toshiba TV Remote, the remote included has a push to talk microphone button on top for Alexa voice commands. Alexa isn’t listening 24/7 as with an Echo, you must push the button to give voice commands. Powering up the first time will involve routine network configuration, logging into accounts and most likely firmware update(s).
