I don't know if you can disable Alexa. You won't need anything additional to access Hulu, Netflix... If you don't have cable TV, you may want to purchase an antenna. We love the TV and have an antenna but rarely use the local channels. We use Pluto, Hulu and Netflix and that's all we need. It's a great TV and would recommend it to everyone.
