• As long as your system uses an ATA III connection and uses the following : PC: Windows 7, 98 SE, Me, 2000, XP or Vista; Mac: OS X; Linux It should work. Windows 8 has not been tested with this drive. I have mine in a Compaq CQ-60 running Windows 7 and I have no problems. Installed simply and took the system recovery easily.
