“Will this work on a toshiba satellite L305-S9538 I was wondering since the size seems the same”

• That should work, since the L305 used a SATA hard drive. The new drive will run at the slower SATA speed instead of its native SATAIII speeds.

• Yes this should work fine for you. The Size is not the important part it is the connections and type of drive it is. The satellite L305-S9538 has a Serial ATA (SATA) port in it and so does this drive.
