“How does one go about getting this unit to power on with the HDMI input active, not the Fire home screen?”

• On the fire screen go to settings > display and sounds > power on From here you can select “last input” This will allow you to power on your tv and it will automatically turn to your hdmi that your cable is hooked up to

• This TV can be set to power on with HDMI by opening Settings on the Fire Home screen. Under Display and Sound click on Power On and choose last input.
