The sound to me is phenomenal. I did play with the settings. You might have to do this as well.

Unfortunately when you purchase a TV in that price range the sound is also in that price range. You can try to tweak however the best is to purchase a soundbar which I have attached to all of my TV’s. Prices have become very reasonably over the years. Best Buy has numerous for $100 or less. I have a Vizio and a Sony both are great hope this helps
