It will work well with XBOX and maybe for ps4... but for the ps5 you really need to get an internal one. It is super easy to put the internal one in the ps5 (I swear i did mine in 30 seconds). If you use an external drive/storage for your ps5 you will ONLY be able to store games, clips, etc. Any time you want to use that game then you will have to transfer it from the storage device back into the ps5. You will constantly be switching games back and forth. Look at the WD (Western Digital) internal drives for ps5 (they come in 1TB, 2TB, & 4TB). They are licensed and therefore covered under your Playstation warranty (NO other drives are).
