Hi Dixenharass! Unfortunately, if the Toshiba HDD is encrypted and you do not have the password, reformatting or resetting it to factory settings may not remove the encryption. You may need to contact Toshiba customer support for assistance on how to decrypt the drive or how to reset it at 1-877-689-4899.
