This switch used to cost about $30, but now it is cheaper. Whether it is lifetime or 3 years does not matter. I have never gone one go bad, and I have used several of them for myself and the customers I serve. For that price, I save the hassle of claiming the warranty. Go and get a new one. Electronics devices less than $100, once you get them, must of the time they improve for the same price or got cheaper, the warranty is suitable only for the first year.
