• WiFi extenders are designed to help improve the WiFi coverage distance of the existing network within your home; however, they are not designed to overcome limitations put in place by your VPN or Internet service. That being said, if your primary concern is WiFi coverage, this can help.

• This one is not wired. The jack is for non-WiFi peripherals. If your satellite router is too far from your computer, yes. If the VPN is the bottleneck, I can't see it will make a difference. Do bandwidth test with and without VPN. If both bad, this could help.
