• No, but you do have to set up an account on their downloaded app and activate camera on your wifi system. We used a 128 Sandisk mini SD card to record and review it daily.

• Hi! No, a Kasa Care subscription is only required if you want to utilize cloud-based storage and activity-based video clips. Otherwise, you can use the Micro SD card (not included) storage option to record locally in the camera, via 24/7 rolling recording, without any need for a subscription.
