- Answer Hi! We will be happy to help clarify. Please note that "wireless" is not the same as "wire-free". The term wireless in this case refers to how the camera connects to your existing network: via Wi-Fi (2.4GHz) signal. The camera must still be connected to a power source using the included power adapter.

- Answer Yes. The camera needs to be protected from the outdoors but the view from the camera does not.

QuestionDoes the camera record all day everyday and save? For example would it record all night while everyone is sleeping and I’m able to view everything next day?

- Answer Yes, if you pay for the service it will store video & sound for 24 hours. However, as far as I am aware it is not continuous 24 hours. The cameras send notifications to your phone when movement or sound is detected. But you also have the capability to access the cameras from your phone or tablet just to check the status of things. I have indoor cameras but have them looking out on to the driveway (infrared needs to be off on the camera) and even at night the camera gives a good quality video. There are slots on the camera to put in a memory stick so it will snap photos when there is movement.

- Answer Now that you mentioned: i have that camera on a covered porch and it works great for 3 to 4 months. Just last week stop working. Maybe was not design for outdoor covered or not.

- Answer Yes, through the Kasa Smart app (from Smart Home developer) & can be connected to the WiFi with Spectrum on the 2G connection.

- Answer I used Wi-Fi to setup the camera. The SD card is only for storage. Cloud storage is expensive so the card is a money saver. The notification uses Wi-Fi. The app that comes with the device gives you video viewing options. It’s nice to monitor when you are away from home. Distinguishes sound and person detection. Great gadget to have.

- Answer The camera requires Wi-Fi and Internet connectivity during setup. Once configured and a Micro SD card (not included) is installed, it can continuously record, even if Internet connectivity is lost. However, the camera will not be accessible via the Kasa app, nor will it support any Internet-facing features, if not connected to Wi-Fi.

- Answer Hi! No, a Kasa Care subscription is entirely optional. You can live stream and store video locally via Micro SD card (not included) without Kasa Care. With Kasa Care, you can store video clips in the Cloud, that are triggered based on detected activity/motion.

- Answer No. The camera supports local, 24/7 rolling recording to a Micro SD card (not included), which does not require a subscription. The Kasa app is also free to use. However, if you would prefer to have cloud-based storage, a Kasa Care subscription is optional.

- Answer Hi! The Kasa app supports devices running iOS 10.0 or later, and Android 5.0 or later. If your iPhone 12 mini is running iOS 10.0 or later, it will work fine.
