I don't think it was the plug. After it rained, my power outlet went off; once I reset the power outlet, the smart plug started working again.

Yes, you can reset each outlet on the plug individually by pressing and holding the physical button for each outlet (atop the plug housing) for 10 seconds while it is plugged in. After doing so, you can use the Kasa app to re-add the plug to your network.
