• Yes you can. The app is called Kasa. It was very easy to setup and get working right away.

• Yes you can control your Kasa plug through your Wi-Fi. You can control it from your phone with the Kasa app you download from your App Store. It is also compatible with Alexa. You can ask Alexa to turn on or off the appliance you have plugged into the plug by the name you gave it in the app when you set it up. Double check if you need a Kasa base to connect the plug through to operate it.
