• No you just connect the usb cable to the camer and plug it in. To set it up is very easy and takes less than 5mins. You can also mount it on the wall.

• Yes you can. It is a pretty good little camera. Image is not always sharp but it gets the job done. I was surprised at how easy it was to hook up and use.
