“Does this camera require a computer, phone or tablet to be hooked up to monitor home away? I assume the USB cord is to set it up and put in secure codes or passwords. Besides wifi does it need a dedicated device hooked up usb or nearby to monitor away?”

• This will require at least a smartphone. It operates off your home WIFI network and does not need a hub. The uSB cord is for power to the camera.

• you set them up in the Kasa app. It runs off your wifi and records in the cloud. They are really easy to setup. It has a monitor and patrol mode.
