• They should not be showing up as outdoor extenders. These are devices that are designed to be installed inside a home or structure. They should not be used outdoor as they are not weather resistant.

• I would say no, as this TP-Link RE605X AX1800 device's enclosure is open all around it for ventilation, so its electronic components are exposed to the elements. I think what they are intending to say is that this WiFi extender can extend your WiFi signal to your outdoor areas, within reason, of course.
