Effective extended Wi-Fi range will vary depending on numerous factors within your network environment, including, but not limited to: - Placement of the extender in relation to the router - Physical obstructions (e.g. walls, etc.) between the extender, your router, and your devices - Distance between the extender and your devices - Which Wi-Fi band you are connecting to (2.4GHz vs. 5GHz) That being said, 250ft is a big ask for an indoor home Wi-Fi extender. Depending on your needs, you may want to consider our Deco Mesh Wi-Fi Systems instead. If you plan to extend outdoors, we have the Deco X50-Outdoor for outdoor Mesh Wi-Fi, or our outdoor EAP models, such as the EAP610-Outdoor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does but limited by obstructions. I have no idea how far it will extend the signal and my router is 50 ft and one floor from the TP Link device. I tried it in a few locations but only sightly better Wi-Fi signal to my PC. I ended up putting it close enough to connect it directly with an Ethernet cable and there was a huge improvement in download speeds but very little for upload.
