If this room doesn’t have Wi-Fi coverage, but has Ethernet - I believe it can be configured to become a WiFi point. If this room has Wi-Fi, but the signal is weak - I think it may or may not work. I had an issue with TV dropping WiFi connection, so I bought this device and connected TV to it using wired connection. It works great.
