Based on my experience that seems to be the way it works with one caveat. Tracfone seems to now add the new plan first leaving the old one in rollover. If something goes wrong on their end your old plan and it's time, minutes, texts, and data will be toast. Record your balances before and after you apply this to your account and their chat may be able to fix it depending on the chat agent you get. Some are really good. Some are useless.
