If you get a Tracfone Luna J3 to replace your LG Tracfone you can transfer your current number to the new phone as well as any current air time minutes you currently have in your account. The Lune J3 has an option you can either select to use or not use to set up a personal password that allows the phone to lock when you end a session and you have to enter the password to gain entry each time you use it. I chose to disable this SETTINGS option when I set up my phone.

An unlocked phone can be use for ANY carrier you want and freedom to switch carrier any time you want without any contract.
