When activating the iPhone, after it asks SIM number and IMEI, it'll ask if you want to keep an existing number. Select the number for the Samsung trac phone, and then its wait until the transfer takes place (and then make that first call.)
I'm currently going from a trac phone Samsung J7 Crown to an unlocked iphone 8....seems to be taking longer to complete then when I went from a trac phone Alcatel flip (I had two of them flicker to death...., so far so good with the ZTE flip.) to a trac phone ZTE fip....though perhaps Smartphones are more complex.
WIth this trac phone number, there one time I had to call tracfone to push things along....I had started with a trac pghone trilple minutes for life Samsung feature phone (until I wasn't able to find replacement batteries that weren't rip-offs (or from inventory older than when I had gotten the phone), went to an iPhone 6 plus, and then the Samsung J7 Crown and now to an iPhone 8....
A:AnswerNo, I haven't experienced any losses when I've done this....for some time now, I just add 400 minutes + 365 days (which results in 1200 minutes, 1200 texts and 1200 Mb of data added to my existing buckets....I about to go over the 20,000 minutes mark....might be close with texts, though data is a lot lower, since I used a lot when I moved a couple years ago and it took a while to get home Internet....
