  • QuestionCan these pellets be used on an electric grill

    Asked by electric.

    • Answer Not sure what you mean by electric grill. Do you mean countertop plug in, or electric smoker? I would say no for countertop, but yes for most electric smokers. Electric smokers typically have a separate fire box where you feed wood chips into the fire source. If this is your case, you should be able to substitute wood chips with these pellets. Even gas grills can add some smoke flavor to one’s favorite dish using a separate smoker box placed inside the grill, yet cannot achieve the smoke ring you get with wood combustible smokers. Please read your owner’s manual for clarification. Just FYI, I have experienced excellent results with these Traeger pellets and I smoke a lot of meat.
