Mine was a code and honestly I'm not too sure on the version.

There is a Product Key inside the box with directions to go to their web site to download this software. If you want a physical cd, they will send it to you free of charge.

It is just a key code on a card.

There is a key code inside the box. This is also the 2018 version and it's best protection offering from trend micro.

For this product Trend Micro on 5 devices for 1 year included the key code only.
