I dont know anything about TCL. I purchased a 4k Samsung 65” and added the tv calibration service. The picture quality was very good out of the box.... definitely not perfect. I also have the 4k hdmi cables. After using the tv for 100 hours I scheduled the calibration service. Now the picture quality is amazing... especially for 4k ultra hd dvds. The most disappointing part of the calibration service is the technician who performed the service said the tv will never look as good as in the store because of how they setup the tvs to get us to buy them - essentially we’re all suckers for buying high-end tvs.
