Oh hello! Thank you for your question here! This TV stand is made of High-grade MDF and durable laminate construction. While we say that it can fit up to 48", this really comes down to how your TV stand is. Theoretically, you could put a 49" TV on here if your stand was in the center, but those with legs on the outside, I would tread with caution. Great question! Thank you again for reaching out! It did take 3-1/2 hours to put together but looks like a piece of nice furniture. It is mason particle board with the vinyl type of covering you get now-a-days but quite good looking for the price.

We bought a 49 inch TV and this stand has plenty of room on top for it. It stands 23 inches off the floor. We bought the brown and I like it, it looks like older style of furniture with a modern vibe. It did take 3-1/2 hours to put together but we thought it was worth it, especially for the price.
