“Every 4 - 6 months I have a power outage in my home that can last for days. I need the charger just for these occasions. Is it best to charge it to 100%, unplug it and set it aside or leave it plugged into the wall until I need it. Thanks.”

I think it would be fine to unplug it. I use mine when I am on a trip. Once I charge it, it stays in my purse. I have never seen the charge go down any except when I charge my devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Best thing to do is charge to 100% and leave it unplugged, otherwise you're just using electricity to charge something that's charged. The battery actually lasts a very long amount of time. I've had mine for over a month, fully charged it once and just keep it in my bag. I use it about every other day and I havent had to charge it again yet

Here’s an example, you have a car, you put gas. If you continue to put gas, it’ll overflow. Every so often just check if you need to plug it in again to recharge. I never had to yet.
