“I recently purchased Power 20 Apple Power Charger and when I got it home the connection that goes into the iPhone was slightly bigger so it was a nogo. I have a apple 8 plus and my wife has a apple 7. Before I return it any suggestions ?”

The cord that comes with it will will not work for the iPhone. It will work for an iPad or you use it to charge the apple power charger. You will need to use the charger that came with your iPhone or purchase another one at Best Buy.
