• I charged it with a fast samsung fast charger when i got it. It didnt take 8 hours. I also ran it down to dead and recharged it full again.

• Just the first time should be fine, my battery actually doesn't need more than an hour or two to charge completely after the INITIAL charge (out of the box).

• No, you do not have to charge the battery for 8 hours before you can use it as a matter of fact you can plug the charger in and still charge your electronic device.

• It takes a while to charge it full, every time I used it. I usually charges it before I go to bed so it'll be ready in the morning
