• No this will not tune cable TV stations. It will only tune over the air broadcast channels that are received via an antenna.

• It can tune unscrambled digital cable. In other words, if your smart TV can find channels without a cable box, this unit can tune those same channels. It will not tune on-demand stuff, or premium channels like HBO and SHO. It does not work with any satellite providers. I am using it on Mediacom in Iowa, and I get over 80 digital channels (all 5 local networks, ION, HALL, ETV, ESPN, ESPN2, A&E, AMC, COM, TNT, TBS, USA, FX. HGTV, FOOD, HIST, TVLand, LMN, DISN, DISNJR, and many others). I have "expanded basic" service.

• The CONNECT DUO is for Over the Air TV using an antenna. It won't work with most cable.
