There is an option to have it stay in a little bit longer but mine does the same thing once it’s disconnected.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When power shuts off , i.e. lighter plug with ignition , camera shuts off after a few seconds so it won't run down the camera's battery .... Hope that helps !
