One thing radar detectors are competing against for newer cars are the safety sensors. Cars that emit collision avoidance, lane monitoring, stop monitoring and similar features can set off the K band on the radar detector. With that said, the R7 has a new firmware upgrade that incorporates a notch filter K Block Feature (24.194 – 24.205GHz) to improve detection of these safety systems. This will lessen the capability to notify you to true K band alerts, so you can enable/disable this feature, as needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s the best available in filtering out k band in those cars I would buy the r3 or r7 I have a escort 360 and the r7 is hands down better I have the r7 as well
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a setting called K Block which was made especially for Honda Acura false alerts. Uniden created a notch to filter out the false alerts between 24.194 - 24.204
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Blocks out 95%better than my escort redline does
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can't attest to this unit yet, but I've had multiple Escort detectors and the false alerts were horrible, with the newest model (Max 360c) being the worst offender. It finally just died-out of warranty of course-so I'm looking to replace it with a Uniden. The false alerts were so excessive, it was almost unbearable and I wonder if I got a bad unit. Honda/Acuras would trigger it, but also would go off randomly on back country roads driving my old Mustang which has none of the modern collision avoidance or blind spot monitoring systems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the uniden r3 and I just have got the uniden r7 I like the r7 better it has better range or better(sensitivity) though but it seems like my r3 was a little bit quieter about the bsm false alarms from these cars you just mentioned here but it's not a big major difference though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it comes with that option.
