“How can I control the volume with a remote if I hook transmitter directly to the TV? Does the transmitter connect to the red and white audio output jacks in the back of the TV? I don't believe these are controlled by the TV's volume control. Therefore I cannot control the volume on the wireless speakers by using the TV's remote control.”

These are best connected to a receiver so you have full volume and power control. These are "unintelligent" speakers w/o a controlling receiver. They do have a manual volume control knob but that's only for sound level balancing with the rest of the system's speakers.

Please try again later.You cannot hot this directly to the TV, this device is meant for a higher end audio speaker system that has a dedicated home theater/audio receiver and has a rear speaker positive/negative output. The standard red/white composite audio will not work for this device.
